Winter At The Whale Bone Arch

Winter At The Whale Bone Arch - Whitby
This is the famous Whale Bone Arch in Whitby, taken in the evening on New Year’s Day 2010. You can also see the ‘old town’ and the abbey on the other side of the estuary. Snow had started falling and settling on New Year’s Eve and then it continued for several days, with the temperature around freezing for most of that time.
